Chef Aggelos Bakopoulos is one of the most promising and established figures in the contemporary Greek culinary scene. With a passion for Greek cuisine, deep knowledge of ingredients, and a creative approach to flavor, he has managed to stand out both nationally and internationally. In recent years, he has been consistently awarded for his work and contributions, receiving significant distinctions that confirm his commitment to quality and innovation.

Since 2023, Aggelos Bakopoulos has held the position of Executive Chef at the luxurious hotel complex Bill & Coo in Mykonos. There, he leads the overall gastronomic identity of the group’s restaurants, including Yevo and CooZest, which under his guidance have been steadily rising and continuously earning distinctions. Notably, at the FNL Best Restaurant Awards in 2025, Yevo was awarded two stars, while CooZest received one star, highlighting the momentum the chef has brought to the world of fine dining.
His career is impressive and indicative of his talent and dedication. At just 26 years old, he took on the role of Executive Chef at Doryssa Hotel, managing a team of over 80 people. He later served as Culinary Director for the Katikies group in Mykonos and Santorini, and prior to joining Bill & Coo, he held the position of Executive Chef at the luxury Lesante Cape in Zakynthos.
His work has been recognized with numerous awards. Among others, he has received a Golden Toque, and has been honored with the Modern Greek Cuisine Award by Athenorama, for his contribution to the renewal and modernization of Greek culinary tradition. He is also listed among the 100 most influential chefs in Greece, according to the FNL Guide.
Angelos Bakopoulos’ culinary philosophy is rooted in showcasing local identity through a modern lens. He sources ingredients from small Greek producers, combines traditional techniques with contemporary creations, and crafts dishes that tell stories. For him, cooking is art, passion, and a constant quest.
